8 Legion Players named in All-MLR Teams

California Legion was one of the best represented clubs across the 2026 MLR Team of the Season selections, with eight players earning recognition across the three XVs. Jason Damm, Gonzalo Bertranou, Joe Mano and Billy Meakes were all named in the prestigious First XV after playing pivotal roles in Legion's run to the MLR Championship Final.

In the Second XV, Joe Taufete'e, Tonga Kofe and Coby Miln were recognized for their outstanding contributions throughout the season, each making a significant impact in key moments. Ed Timpson rounded out the club's representatives with selection in the Third XV, highlighting the depth and quality within the Legion squad.

Collectively, the eight selections are a reflection of California Legion's consistency, talent and influence throughout the 2026 campaign, reinforcing the club's position as one of Major League Rugby's premier organizations.

Additional end-of-season awards, including Player of the Year, Forward and Back of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year, are to be announced by MLR soon.

The top 45 players throughout the season were selected to make up the first, second, and honorable mention All-MLR teams. In 2026, All MLR Awards were determined solely by regular-season performance and statistics. This ensures that award winners are recognized for their consistency and impact throughout the regular season, regardless of playoff results
