Experienced lock Keni Nasoqeqe signs with California Legion for 2026 after four seasons with Houston. The dual-national forward brings leadership, durability, and 90 plus MLR caps back to California.

Nasoqeqe returns to Legion after four seasons with the Houston SaberCats, adding proven experience and leadership to the forward pack. The 6 foot 4 lock has appeared in 91 Major League Rugby matches with 54 starts across his career.

Before his MLR career, Nasoqeqe built his foundation in Fiji and Southern California. He grew up playing in Fiji and represented Lelean Memorial School before moving to the United States in 2015. He joined Belmont Shore in the Pacific Rugby Premiership and helped the club win the PRP title in 2018. He also represented Belmont Shore in USA Rugby Club 7s Nationals campaigns in 2019 and 2021.

In the MLR, he previously represented the San Diego Legion from 2019 through 2021, earning 28 caps and helping the club reach the 2019 MLR Championship Final. During his first stint in California, he established himself as a consistent starter and physical presence in the tight five.

After joining Houston in 2022, Nasoqeqe recorded career highs in appearances and starts in his debut season with the SaberCats as they secured their first playoff berth in club history. In 2024, he started 13 matches, scored four tries, and surpassed 500 career tackles.

Across seven MLR seasons, Nasoqeqe has totaled 630 tackles and 10 tries while maintaining availability and consistency year over year.

Now back in California, Nasoqeqe strengthens the second row with veteran presence and proven production as Legion builds toward 2026.
