Treacy arrives in California fresh off a standout collegiate season at Central Washington University, where he was named the 2025 Rudy Scholz Award winner, recognizing the top men’s college rugby player in the United States. His year was defined by clutch moments, game deciding plays, and an ability to consistently tilt matches in CWU’s favor.
Opponents built their game plans around stopping Treacy. His speed, aerial ability, and awareness in space made him the focal point of every defensive scheme he faced. Beyond his individual brilliance, Treacy showed strong vision and composure, regularly putting teammates into scoring positions and elevating those around him.
An Australian born, American qualified back, Treacy comes from a rugby family deeply rooted in the sport. With two brothers already on professional scouting radars in New Zealand, including Xavier Treacy’s time in the Melbourne Rebels system and with New Zealand U20s, rugby has long been part of his path.
Treacy has also excelled in the Sevens environment, where his pace and instincts have translated into consistent line breaks and game breaking moments. That versatility made him one of the most sought after prospects leading into the draft, with strong interest from multiple MLR teams.
