California Legion captain Jason Damm has been named as the USA Men’s Eagles against Portugal this Saturday, July 4, in Denver, continuing his role as one of the most respected leaders in American rugby.
Damm has been a standout presence for California Legion throughout the 2026 Major League Rugby season and has had multiple different leadership roles in his career at Rugby ATL, RFCLA, Legion and USA Eagles. and now captain of the Eagles once again during for the upcoming tournament.
For Legion, Damm’s national team captaincy is another reflection of the standards he has set all season. Taking the Legion to an MLR Final and reaching 75-caps as a MLR player in 2026.
Damm has built his reputation on work rate, consistency, humility and a team-first approach.
