Legion make their move at the deadline, bringing Cyrille Cama back to California as the squad prepares for the final stretch of the season.
California Legion has signed Cyrille Cama.
Cama returns to California after previous stints with the LA Giltinis and San Diego Legion. He brings experience across the back row and at hooker, adding versatility and physicality to the forward group.
"I very happy to be back home to represent my home, my family and my state with the Legion." Said Cama
"I have worked with Coach Hoiles for Randwick and LA, and I want to repay the faith, and come into camp and make difference - both at training and in the community."
Born in Fiji, Cama moved to the United States in 2013 and developed through the domestic pathway. He represented the USA U20s and played with the Rhinos Rugby Academy, competing internationally in the World Tens Series and Rugby Tens Championship.
Cama made his MLR debut with the LA Giltinis during their 2021 championship season. He followed with a full 2022 campaign, making 12 appearances and scoring a try.
He later joined San Diego Legion ahead of the 2024 season, where he delivered a career year. Cama appeared in 16 matches, scored three tries, and added close to 300 meters with ball in hand while completing 60 tackles.

After time with the New England Free Jacks, Cama now returns to familiar ground in California. His ability to cover multiple forward positions and bring energy in contact gives Legion added flexibility as the team pushes through the final stretch. With two NorCal home matches remaining, his presence adds impact as Legion look to build momentum down the stretch.
